from_yaml(input) Class Public methods Special loader for YAML files. When a Specification object is loaded from a YAML file, it bypasses the normal Ruby object initialization routine (#initialize). This method makes up for that and deals with gems of different ages. input can be anything that YAML.load() accepts: String or IO.

latest_specs(prerelease = false) Class Public methods Return the latest specs, optionally including prerelease specs if prerelease is true.

load(file) Class Public methods Loads Ruby format gemspec from file.

load_defaults() Class Public methods Loads the default specifications. It should be called only once.

new(name = nil, version = nil) Class Public methods Specification constructor. Assigns the default values to the attributes and yields itself for further initialization. Optionally takes name and version.

non_nil_attributes() Class Public methods Specification attributes that must be non-nil

normalize_yaml_input(input) Class Public methods Make sure the YAML specification is properly formatted with dashes

outdated() Class Public methods Return a list of all outdated specifications. This method is HEAVY as it must go fetch specifications from the server.

remove_spec(spec) Class Public methods Removes spec from the known specs.
