Gets the Unix timestamp

Procedural style

Gets the Unix timestamp.

Returns:

Returns the Unix timestamp representing the date.

Examples:

Object oriented style

echo $date->getTimestamp();
?>

Procedural style

$date = date_create();
echo date_timestamp_get($date);
?>
