qTip2 - the second generation of qTip tooltip plugin

qTip2 is the second generation of the advanced qTip plugin for the ever popular jQuery framework.

Building on 1.0's user friendly, yet feature rich base, qTip2 provides you with tonnes of features like speech bubble tips and imagemap support.

qTip2 - Features:

• Speech bubble tips

The speech bubble tips plugin allows you to add nifty callout pointers to your tooltips. A wide range of options are available to style the tips, including height and width, colour and orientation/position on the tooltip. They even adjust with your tooltip when viewport adjustment is enabled!

• Integrated AJAX

The AJAX plugin extends your content options allowing you to use jQuery's built-in AJAX functionality to retrieve remote content. This is especially useful in conjunction with the Modal plugin to create modal dialogues with minimal effort, such as login forms.

• Viewport repositioning

The Viewport plugin allows your qTip's to adjust their positioning to keep within a specified viewport i.e. a DOM element.

• z-index stacking

The modal plugin allows you to create tooltips which 'dim' the rest of the page when shown, drawing users attention. This is quite useful as a simple replacement for plugins such as ThickBox and jQuery UI Dialog

• Imagemap & SVG support

The imagemap plugin adds additional positioning logic for <map> and <area> elements, allowing you to use qTips special corner positioning system with your imagemaps. The SVG plugin adds additional positioning and dimension calculation logic for SVG elements, allowing you to use qTips special corner positioning system with your SVG elements.
