numpy.issubdtype()

numpy.issubdtype(arg1, arg2) [source]

Returns True if first argument is a typecode lower/equal in type hierarchy.

Parameters:

arg1, arg2 : dtype_like

dtype or string representing a typecode.

Returns:

out : bool
